Visiting my daughter and needed coffee and maybe breakfast within walking distance. Martha's popped up as a 5 minute walk. I was greeted by a lovely woman with a kind smile. Casual friendly neighborhood vibe. After deciding on chorizo breakfast burrito I sat down and sipped my yummy cappuccino. Soon after my chorizo egg and cheese burrito arrived hot, and SAVORY delicious! Well done Martha and friends! Service outstanding!

I was looking for a good breakfast burrito and this place met my expectations and beyond. I can easily say this is the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. I got chorizo, and added potatoes, and it was so damn delicious. 11/10 recommend so much. The server was so sweet too and helpful. Thank you so much for everything

This is my first time having baleadas and I am a huge fan. I got the regular one and the one with eggs and chorizo, assuming that based on the price, it would be a good breakfast. Well it was a lot of foot and I didn't need to each lunch. Just really good beans and tortillas make it work with some creaminess from the dairy additions. I think too regular ones or one special will make a full breakfast.

Wow! My friend brought me food from here the other night while I was handling some family matters. I didn't get to enjoy the chicken soup (caldo de pollo) until today and OMG the flavor! I can't wait until I can go to their restaurant to try another one of their soups or other food. I've had caldo de pollo from other places and even homemade that don't come close to the quality I have enjoyed here.

I thoroughly enjoyed this spot! By the 16th St and Mission Bart station, in the heart of the Mission, Martha's serves a no-frills Honduran food experience. I came here with two friends for a post-new year hangover meal. I just wanted eggs and soup so I got the machaca con huevos and menudo. Our meal was served with warm homemade masa tortillas which were super super great with the menudo. Highly recommend if you're looking for ~authentic~ Latin food!

4.5 STARS You know when you walk into a restaurant where you're the only non-native... And, everyone *PAUSES* and *STARES* at you? Love that! Yea, it's kinda awkward, like you have a booger hanging from your nose. But to me, it's a good sign that the food is going to be legit. Walked into Martha's Restaurant to several dudes in back cheering to fútbol on TV then complete *silence* and *stares* when they saw me. Ok, this is promising! Martha's Restaurant has been open for several months now and sad to see they don't have any love on Yelp. They're open for takeout and indoor dining only. No delivery. No outdoor dining. M E N U Mexican and Honduran Cuisine (breakfast, lunch, and dinner): https://tinyurl.com/ye45uxp3. They also have a pastry case of pan dulce (Mexican sweet breads). F O O D * Baleadas Regular ($3.99): https://tinyurl.com/zmewpa2a ***Add avocado (50 cents) So far, I've tried all the Honduran restaurants in the city except Indio Lempira (Crocker-Amazon) and Martha's currently makes my fav baleadas. The fresh handmade flour tortilla was hot, soft, and perfectly chewy. It was lighter than others I've had with a good elasticity. It had a smearing of creamy mashed beans, salty crumbled queso duro, and generous dollops of crema. And, ofc...ripen, buttery avocado makes everything better! There may not been a whole lotta filling but the handmade flour tortilla took centerstage, as it should. Loved it! * Menudo Catracha/Mondongo: Beef Tripe Soup ($18.99): https://tinyurl.com/2h66uffy ***Available everyday. I'm a menudo/mondongo feen and with the wintery cold weather, I had to try their version. It was fine. The soup was hearty with a tomato-ey flavor and packed more heat than the norm so I didn't have to add much jalapeño. The mix of honeycomb and book tripe could have been stewed longer (I prefer meltingly soft tripe). I think there was a miscommunication as I requested "con pata" but no pata (pig's foot) was included. The soup includes a myriad of veggies: potato, yucca, carrot, chayote, corn, and green plantain, along with a side of onions, cilantro, jalapeño, and limes. The highlight were the handmade tortillas. The texture was like a hybrid of corn and flour - it was thick but not too thick, soft, and chewy. You taste the corn but it's not as dense as the usual corn tortillas with a savoryness (lard?). When it comes to tortillas, Martha's makes bomb ones! I know inflation is hitting hard but compared to other Honduran & Mexican restaurants in the city, the pricing was a bit steep for menudo/mondongo; I usually pay $14.99-$16.99. S E R V I C E Super friendly staff and prompt service, My order arrived in about 10 minutes (only customer eating at the time). A M B I A N C E Casual and homey with a Christmas tree set-up and several TVs for watching fútbol. There's about 10-12 tables for dine in. P A R K I N G Very challenging street parking but the Bart station (16th street) is 1/2 block away. Overall, LOVE Martha's baleadas (and tortillas)! I think I ordered wrong with the menudo/mondongo so I'll need to try their Pollo con Tajadas (Honduran chicken w/ green plantains). Hope I can bump them to 5 stars next time!
